Booked AC system check as they had a special on their billboard for weeks. When I dropped it off I asked what the services includes as the website was vague. They said they check to see if the air is cold... well I of course already knew it wasn't cold, its why I booked the appointment. I asked if it included checking the compressor, seeing if it holds vacuum etc., nope, just to see if its cold. So I decided not to do that service but was going to change the oil while the vehicle was there. They quoted $36.95. I mentioned I had my own oil/filter and they reduced it to $19.99, which is what I expected. I come back to get the vehicle and the oil change price is now $36.95 because its a "diesel". The extra cost is associated with the increased oil capacity.. except I brought my own oil and you knew it was a diesel when you quoted me? Needless to say this was the 2nd dishonest description of products or services. I asked if they were going to make the oil change price right and the guy just said "My fault, my fault, my fault." then charged full price anyway. When I get into my truck they had dripped oil onto the center console inside. This was my 1st and only time I will ever give them money and will always be a voice against. Edit: To say you offered a discount is completely dishonest. You actually refused to honor the price you quoted. Otherwise I would of paid the lower price, obviously. When I said "Do what you think is right." and you chose to charge the higher price than what was quoted and agreed to, you made the choice not me.
Hello Steven Chris here @ Honest1. I remember Jerry offering you a discount when you had asked, keep in mind you had refused the offer. So to be clear the actual oil change service including us using your fluids, The cost was $ 24.95 + shop supplies & Hazmat recycling + tax = $ 36.84. I apologize that this was an unacceptable amount, but again we had offered you a discount & you said no. I also apologize that some oil made it into the interior of your vehicle, I know the technician felt bad about this & did clean it up to your Satisfaction at the time.
