Not so honest. Quoted me a price and assured thats what was gonna cost. After I agreed called me up the next day to say its gonna cost more. Doesn't seem like they have any idea what they are doing

Friendly staff. Warning, diagnosis charges do not get waived if they complete the needed repair. I mainly go to the shop for oil changes because they have good packages you can buy. Last time I went to an oil change, I was told I was leaking oil and they recommended I do a degrease and dye test which runs around $100. I noticed that my driveway had fresh oil spots which I was not experiencing before the service. In the last year I had both valve cover gaskets repairs because at that time, I was leaking oil. I complained and went back a week later. They said they didn't close the drain plug after the oil change and oil was leaking from the plug. I avoided a $100 service that was not needed, but now I'm left having to clean my driveway due to the shop's negligence.

I've been going to Honest 1 for a while. While I'd say my experience with Honest 1 is above average compared to the other mechanics in the area, however I'd still rate it as average at best compared to all mechanics I've been to. From what I can tell, their prices and automobile work quality is decent, it's primarily their customer service that is lacking. Today I arrived for my appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and a coolant flush. I scheduled the appointment a week ago, verified what coolant they would use, and informed them I would be waiting in the lobby while they did the work. They also let me know that they didn't stock the manufacture recommended coolant but would happily pick some up for the job. Today, after arrival, I found out that they never obtained the coolant. So they would have to send staff to the local Mazda dealer to get the appropriate coolant. They recommended not waiting because the job would take a couple of hours. They then quoted me a final price. By the time the job was complete, 3 hours had elapsed. When I came back they charged me more than the quoted price stating that "they forgot" to add a line item to the bill. I begrudgingly paid without arguing. I opened my car door only to find mud smeared around the floor area. On my drove home my tire pressure warning light turned on. I checked my tire pressures and 2 of the 4 tires were low. Did no one check the tire pressure? And what about the 21 point inspection that they were going to send--I never got it. Generally speaking I've found every mechanic in the neighborhood to be a circus like this. Simple things always get messed up. Checking fluids and pressures of the parts that you touch, agreeing to service price totals that are actually correct, sending documentation and communication that you say you're going to send, having the parts needed in hand BEFORE scheduled appointments, not making messes in people cars or at least wiping up a little after an accident. In short, their lack of responsibility invades customer trust. From what I can tell, the auto mechanic industry is too cut throat for this kind of tomfoolery. Time will tell whether Honest 1 gets their act together and beats out the competition, or continues to let their standards slide to match that of their competition. I should add that I've had other experiences with this company that were similar. I recall one time after they looked over my car that they "recommended" changing my cabin air filter. Seeing that I had recently replaced it, they clearly didn't check the filter before making the recommendation. Again, behavior like this invades trust. What do customers want? They want to be treated fairly. They want to be able to trust that their mechanic has their best interest in mind when working on their car. That means taking responsibility for mishaps. And that also means making changes so that mishaps don't happen ever again. Simple. If a business believes that it's perfect as-is then it's doomed to failure.

Chris and the guys are awesome. They do great work at a reasonable price.

Average service over priced.Bate and switch with cheap coupons. And then have to buy a more expensive Oil Change..When serviced they over filled my engine oil,had to tame it back and have some drained out.No over of refund on extra oil used. Do not recommend.

Went to get an oil change, after the oil change, they found a nail in my tire and offered to patch it and offered me a new cabin air filter at a quoted price. Told me that would all take 5 minutes and I would be on the road. 40 minutes later they wanted me to also pay $15 for the tire patch. Then when I called them out on misleading me they told me usually the patch would cost $20 and they were actually cutting me a deal. A shouting match later they removed the extra cost for the tire patch and charged my card. Now 2 weeks later they called me and told me my card only covered part of the transaction and they need the rest. Verified through my bank account that was accurate, but I don't know how they waited this long to contact me about it. Oh well, reminded me that I needed to leave them a bad review. *EDIT POST SINCE THEY REPLIED TO MY REVIEW* The dishonesty continues. Here's a screenshot of my recent calls from your phone number. You called me once before and then again 9 days later when I called you back promptly to pay you. The time you called on the 18th you didn't leave a voicemail, my voice mailbox is full. I would have called you back on the 18th to pay you, but you call from a number that doesn't show up as Honest-1 when you put it through a search. You and your employees all suck. I'll spread the word.
